A venue for me to share some of the things that I enjoy or stumble across. The things that have that indescribable, indelible quality I like to call “the aura of coolness.”

Posts include, but aren't limited to, James Bond, menswear, expensive watches, film & television, women I love, and whatever happens to catch my fancy at the moment!

Natalie Wood / production still from Mervyn LeRoy’s Gypsy (1962)

One of my closest friends, an extremely gifted actress and singer, made this role her own in a local production last year.  Since today is her birthday I thought this would be an appropriate post.  Can’t wait to see my friend on Broadway, everything’s coming up roses!

As far as I’m concerned it’s still summer and this is an appropriate weekend activity.

Quote reblogged from Mr Erik J. with 3,646 notes

In Greek, “nostalgia” literally means “the pain from an old wound”. It’s a twinge in your heart, far more powerful than memory alone. This device isn’t a spaceship, it’s a time machine. It goes backwards and forwards, it takes us to a place where we ache to go again.

Don Draper, “The Wheel” (via feellng)

Good luck at your next meeting.
